Author | Storyteller | Screenwriter

Hey lovely,

I’m Brittany Johnson, a children’s literature author represented by Jamie Vankirk at Rainbow Nerds Literary.

I write literary stories and essays surrounding love, connection, and emotional authenticity for Black girls and women. I’m an advocate for Black folks receiving their happily ever after without, regardless of, and in spite of their hardships and trauma in life. For any and all professional publishing inquiries, you can contact my agent Jamie Vankirk at Rainbow Nerds Literary.

As far as screenwriting, I write 30-minute episode comedies that are rich in subtle social commentary and full of heart. My work prioritizes inclusivity and diversity, featuring casts that are inclusive of different races, cultures, sexualities, genders, and disabilities.

Some shows that heavily encapsulate my screenwriting and comedy style are Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul., The Boondocks, Abbott Elementary, What We Do in the Shadows, The Harley Quinn Show, and Superstore.

Do you see why I say I have range?
